Happy Saturday! Today we have Michelle, who you have not met, Michelle works at Tierra Antigua Realty. We also have CJ Urban, the general manager of Hi-Fi Kitchen and Cocktails. He’s also opening up a new place next door, called Urban Pita. It will be open till 3 am on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. When people leave here, they can get munchies to take care of those hunger pangs.

What you may not know that is really cool about Hi-Fi is the Crack Mac and Cheese. AKA the Crack Mac 🙂 I come here for Crack Mac and Cheese, that’s my name for it, it’s a special jalapeno mac and cheese. I’m not a mac and cheese fan. So this is even funnier because I love coming here for their grilled chicken on top of jalapeno cheese which is melted down. It’s just beautiful. He sees me in here every week having Crack Mac 🙂 I call it that because you can’t stop eating the sauce, it’s really good.

Hi-Fi is More Than a Bar

Originally, I thought that this was a bar inside, which it does have a great bar and really cool seating inside and stuff, but it’s far more than a bar. It’s actually a restaurant and they’re open for lunch, dinner, happy hour, and late night. The kitchen stays open till ten o’clock and then on Saturday, it’s open until 11p. Most places close at 10, so it’s nice to have an offer for the late-night crowd to come down, or if you live down here, Urban Pita will be open until 3 AM on the weekends for something to eat 🙂

They’ve got lunch and dinner and then, of course, great cocktails in an amazing, fun space. Not only is there like 1,000,000,000 televisions to watch any game who would want to watch, as you saw at the beginning of this show but there is also a beautiful outside play area here. You’ve got shuffled board, pool tables and there’s corn hole, is that what it’s called? 🙂 When you toss the beanbag… They also have giant Jenga and giant Connect Four. When you’re sitting out here and somebody knocks those Giant Jenga blocks, you see people jump because they don’t what’s going on 🙂

Fun for the Entire Family

I have to tell you, on a nice day, which most days in Tucson are beautiful days to sit under a gorgeous patio, you can sit out here see all the cars driving by, the people going by, it feels like you’re in a big metropolitan city! You get to have a cocktail, eat some food, play games with your friends, this is a really great place!

I’ve seen some younger kids in here, so they’re allowed in this area. Hi-Fi is open to families until ten o’clock at night, and then after ten o’clock, you have to be 21. This is a great place for a football game and, I would think, mom and dad, can bring the kids! They can play cornhole bean bag toss or the other games while mom and dad can have a beer and they can all eat, everybody can hang out here! It’s a great place to watch a game, they’re definitely kid-friendly, they have a kids menu, so Hi-Fi is welcoming to all ages.

I love being part of the city wrapping around us, imagine sitting here as the train goes by behind you, you get the Light Rail running by, you get buses, people, it’s just like living again! I love what’s happening down here. The growth of Downtown Tucson has been amazing the past couple of years, and we’re happy that Hi-Fi is a part of it. You created this beautiful space for us to come to play in it, and I can’t wait to see the Urban Pita!

Tony: Tell us a little bit about the food at Urban Pita.

CJ: It’s a Meditteranian concept, we do Gyros, Chicken Schwarma, Falafel, if you are vegetarian, we have vegetarian options. It’s a great lunch, dinner, late night kind of spot. Instead of trying to go to a Taco Shop or Nico’s, you can just walk right down Urban Pita for a late-night bite or lunch.

Fun Things to Do in Tucson

Santa Clause Comes to Miracle on Congress Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
Santa Clause Comes to Miracle on Congress Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

We got some fun stuff coming up! We just saw Santa Claus, if you didn’t see we just ran into Santa on the street because it’s Miracle on Congress St. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday Santa’s here, he’s got a hot chocolate and cocoa bar, cookies, cartoons for the kids… even Mr’s Claus is coming in!

Santa and Mrs. Claus aren’t working together this year, we had a chat with him and he said they gotta keep family and work separate, so Mrs. Claus is gonna be at the Carriage House on Dec. 17th, it looks like she’s reading stories, she got cookies and all kinds of fun stuff going on there.  I think Mrs. Claus is also at the Stillwell House on the 10th, at least that’s what I see on my news desk 🙂 Live from Tucson, AZ!

There’s also some really cool stuff like the Downtown Parade of Lights starting the 17th, you got a plan for that, get here early, grab something to eat, and stake out your spot. We’ll post the parade route on our Facebook page. At the top of Facebok.com/SeeTucsonRealEstate every week, we post the latest video so you’ll see what’s going on!

The Foxx Theatre has a bunch of cool stuff going on, I think there are a couple of holiday events at the Rialto. We just got to go to the Foxx, which was amazing, because we saw Roger Hodgson from Supertramp. I and I did a little live feed over there, so you can look on my Tony Ray Baker Facebook page and you can see right there! The Supertramp songs they were singing were amazing! Great concert, sold out, they’re selling out all over the world. Roger is just amazing, he’s still rocking it out, so it was a flashback for me and I felt like a kid again.

Next Saturday is Second Saturday and Santa is also at Stillwell House, you can see him therefrom 10-noon. You’ve got Second Saturday and it’s shop local! Oh, by the way, speaking of Second Saturday, we need to acknowledge that they are from two o’clock to eight o’clock now, because of winter hours, so to be a little warmer for you to come down and play! We are at our office on Saturday, so if you are coming down for Second Saturday, bang on the door and say “hi” to us 🙂

Tony’s Tech Tip

MixTiles App Makes Photo Collages A Breeze
MixTiles App Makes Photo Collages A Breeze

Have you seen this thing called MixTiles? I think this is a cool Christmas idea! You go on your phone and you’re going to download the MixTiles app (iTunes App Store). These things are really cool, they actually take your photos from your phone, you select like six or ten or whatever you want to buy, the more you buy the less they cost, and you can do your whole vacation or the family or whatever you like.

You buy these little things, that come wrapped in plastic, with four little sticky dots on the back, and you stick the photos on your wall. Here is the cool thing: they pop right back off and then they stick right back on the wall, over and over and over and over until you find the place that you like. That’s my tip of the week! I wanted you to see those, I think that’s a great Christmas gift for someone in your family.

New Tucson Homes For Sale

dsc_8971Darren’s gonna talk about a brand-new listing we have coming up, it’ll go on the market this weekend, it is on the West side of town. This is a great house! Here’s a shot of the front, you see it’s a great two-story house that’s built so that it’s basically a house on top of a house. Downstairs is great for an in-law apartment or rental, any particular use you might need.

The setting is absolutely amazing, beautiful mountain and city views from just about every window in the house. This is a shot from the master bedroom showing the hardwood floors and a completely covered balcony across the entire front. It’s got a two-sided fireplace that services both the living room and a little sitting room, it has a breakfast nook, a dining room, breakfast bar, large kitchen, it’s huge! This is a fantastic house and you gotta see it!  The home features a new stainless steel appliances in the kitchen… there’s way to much to show!

It’s going on the market today or tomorrow, you’ll love it, you gotta come see that and then we have some new pictures of a beautiful loft right near Downtown. It takes about seven minutes to walk from the loft to downtown and it’s at the Ice House, you know we love the Ice House lofts. Shout out to Rob Polous for creating some beautiful spaces for us to play.

Ice House Loft 115 is Now For Sale
Ice House Loft 115 is Now For Sale

This is the private courtyard that sits between the loft and the guesthouse, and you can see that is inside the loft looking out into the courtyard and this is the guest house right over here. I’m going to show you a picture that guesthouse coming up! That’s the kitchen, these guys did about a $70,000 remodel on this loft featuring beautiful rare blue-eyed granite and then it has upgraded stainless steel appliances in the bathrooms and the kitchen, they even wrapped the whole master bath in the rare granite… very expensive.

One of the cool things about this loft as they did engineered wood floors, which are about $10,000 to $11,000 with the wood that they did on the floor, so this loft has that industrial feel but it also has this beautiful warmth because of that wood floor.

It’s got a private courtyard, with a private entry that goes to this guesthouse. This is the guest house that’s connected to that loft. For $365,000 you get a loft and the guesthouse in a private courtyard with the side entry, you could rent this or have someone staying and they will not have to go through your main loft to get in and out. That’s a one-of-a-kind, there’s nothing else like this in Tucson Arizona, this is the only one, so that’s what’s really good about that loft.

Harville Already Sold! Thank You So Much!

That’s a new loft, that Harville Condo we showed you last week, or was it two weeks ago? The condo that’s on the Light Rail is gone, thank you everybody for spreading the word and sharing that for us, it’s sold already sold last night! We are actually super happy for our seller, now he gets to move to Texas, which were not happy about because we’re gonna miss him 🙂

Parting is the Hardest Part…

If you need to get any information about anything we talked about, we are going to always now start posting what we talked about on the bottom of this video thread, and then James has a fun way of making these houses show up on our website with their own URL, we’ll post those as well so you can go to these houses!

Get more info about Hi-Fi at HiFiBars.com (we’ll put that on the video feed) Be sure to give us a call when you want to buy or sell a home, call (520) 631-8669 and then our website is SeeTucsonHomes.com.

Thank you so much to CJ Urban from Hi-Fi and Michele for spending some time with us! And thank you, of course, for tuning in. Have a great day!
