Located just across the street from the University of Arizona, the Arizona History Museum brings to life history from the Spanish colonial times through the territorial eras in Southern Arizona. Check out the exhibit explaining the people, events, and changing boundaries that influenced how Arizona looks today.

The Arizona History Museum also has an exhibit examining the mysterious Silverbell artifacts. Historians are still struggling to explain how these artifacts dug up right here in Tucson got here. They are Roman in nature and pre-date any other European settlement in the area!

Another wonderful exhibit at the Museum features artifacts surrounding the Apache warrior, Geronimo, including his gun! After you have explored the educational and intriguing exhibits of the Arizona History Museum, stop by the gift store to check out some of the great merchandise including books so you can expand on your curiosity of Arizona’s rich history.

Admission to the Arizona History Museum is just $5 for adults, $4 for children ages 12-18 and adults 60 or older, and free for children 11 and under and AHS Members. The first Tuesday of each month is two-for-one admission, so bring the whole family for half price! Parking is available for the Museum in the Arizona Historical Society garage at the northeast corner of 2nd St. and Euclid Ave. Parking is free (validated in the museum) for museum visitors.
