Tucson Children’s Museum

Mission and Vision

The museum’s mission is to provide fun, play-based, interactive, and hands-on learning experiences for children and their families. Their vision is to inspire children and their families to reach their full potential through discovery, creativity, and learning. The Children’s Museum is a great place for children to use their imaginations and learn. The museum offers weekly and monthly programs that complement their exhibits and engage their visitors in a variety of activities.

Weekly Programs

Wee Play – This literacy-based program is perfect for preschoolers 4 and younger. Read, sing, and laugh with us five times a week. Tuesdays at 9:30 AM and 2 PM; Thursdays & Fridays at 9:30 AM; Saturdays and Sundays at 10:30 AM.

Wee Explorer – Discover, create, and explore! Enjoy hands-on science experiments, cool demos, bubble time, and exciting activities each week. For children ages 3-5.
Wednesdays at 1:30 PM.

Wee Wiggle – Shake your sillies out! This freestyle exercise program really gets kids moving! For kids 4 and younger. Fridays at 1:30 PM.

Family Brain Boost – The whole family can enjoy this program that shows science is everywhere! From bubbles to building blocks, learn the science behind everyday activities and open your mind to a whole new world. Saturdays and Sundays at 11:30 AM.

Monthly Programs

Art After Dark – This FREE after-hours program celebrates the arts! Each month the children’s museum has two special guests. They are from the Southern Arizona Arts Community and offer hands-on activities as well as performances or demonstrations. Second Saturday of each month, 5:30-8 PM.

My Time Inclusion Hour – This program celebrates families and kids with unique needs. The museum happily opens its doors an hour early with a discounted $3 per person admission to offer an inclusive, positive environment that encourages hands-on play for all. Third Saturday of each month, 9 AM.
