Shopping, Eating, Train Rides and Gunfights?

While there are plenty of fun things to do in Tucson, today we feature one. Whether Lunch or dinner, shows or shopping, Trail Dust Town aims to please with a little bit of everything for the whole family. If you’ve ever been to Nightfall at Old Tucson Studios this will feel a little familiar. While Old Tucson is a thing of the past Trail Dust Town is here to stay.

Dining

One of my favorite local restaurants was the Dakota Cafe which has now closed. But luckily the space has been taken over by Millies Pancake Haus. While I haven’t had a chance to visit the new location yet I loved the old world Pennsylvania Dutch feel, my family is originally from Pennsylvania so I hope they kept the motif. They have some great outdoor seating areas as well. Additionally, they will bring you water for your pooch if you bring your four-legged friend.

The Pinnacle Peak Steakhouse offers some of the best steaks in town. It’s the original cowboy steakhouse here in Tucson and their menu is big. They offer small plates and giant meals and accept reservations for parties of 10 or more. The only rule is “no ties!”

Shopping

Looking for something with a touch of nostalgia? Try the Trail Dust Trading Company. They have some cool old toys and candy you probably haven’t seen for a while. Have you ever seen a wooden nickel? They have them! They also have wristbands for unlimited attractions available if you plan on spending the day.

Do you have a sweet tooth? If so, make sure you stop by the Chocolate Depot. Their gourmet, handcrafted confections are all made in-house and are utterly delicious. You can also find two photography shops for your vintage photo needs, a general store, a magic shop, and a spa. There really is something for everyone!

Entertainment

For entertainment, Trail Dust Town has a train that runs around the entire town and cowboy gun fights on a regular schedule. You can also pan for gold, test your mettle at the shooting gallery, or ride one of their several attractions.
