When my boyfriend was ready to find a home in Tucson after moving from California, Tony Ray came highly recommended. We immediately felt that he “got” us. After listening to the type of life we led and home we wanted, he had some eclectic, contemporary homes in mind. We were in no rush… we figured it would take at least a year to find the perfect place.
Well, it took exactly one day with Tony Ray. In that day he not only showed us the house we now live in, he showed us a side of Tucson we hadn’t experienced. He introduced us to downtown, took us to The Hub for lunch and gave us a list of restaurants and date night ideas (dinner at Enoteca, a movie at Fox Theater, ice cream at The Hub).
In the midst of all this, Tony shared his passion for eating more veggies. (He didn’t know at the time that his cholesterol was through the roof!) We had just finished experimenting with 21 days of a total plant-based, no processed, no sugar diet + having a green juice a day. We couldn’t believe how great we felt and how easy it was to let go of the things we thought we had to have – like caffeine, alcohol, cheese and sugar.
So, we shared a passion for healthy living, eating and enjoying life in general. Since then, Tony incorporated green smoothies into his diet and now has his cholesterol under control, without medication.
Now that we’re settled in Tucson, I’m excited to start spreading my passion for helping people live their best life as a health and lifestyle counselor. I believe you create your own happiness… but sometimes you need a little help along the way. Through my 6-month counseling program, I’ll ensure you have a strong foundation with food that energizes and nourishes your body and that your whole life (relationships, career, spirituality) are all you’d like them to be.
I’m also excited to start blogging with Tony, sharing health & happiness tips regularly. I hope to meet you in person at my FREE, New Year New You, workshop series at Barefoot Studio, starting February 4th. Come to one or all. Each one will be fun, interactive and filled with food & freebies.
